Dr. Brown
Originally from Inverness, MS, Dr. Houston Brown is now proud to call Aurora, Illinois home. Serving as Clinic Director for Mind and Body Chiropractic in Aurora, IL, Dr. Brown became a chiropractor because of the results he achieved following a football injury. Dr. Brown originally had pursued a career in Anesthesiology, however, while playing a game of football, he injured his low back, and was unable to walk without pain for several weeks and his life was forever changed. He was in severe, daily pain for several weeks after the injury and received no help from the medical community. Searching for relief from his injury, Dr. Brown went to his family chiropractor. After six months of care, Dr. Brown was pain-free and off all pain medications. This was the moment Dr. Brown realized that the power that made the body, in fact, heals the body. It was this moment that inspired Dr. Brown to become a Doctor of Chiropractic.
Dr. Brown graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences. Following his undergraduate work, Dr. Brown attended Parker College of Chiropractic where he received his Doctorate Degree of Chiropractic.
Dr. Brown is truly family-oriented. In his time away from his work, he enjoys doing activities with his wife, Davida and his sons, Hunter, Ri’Chard and Dylan. Traveling and enjoying his family are Dr. Brown’s favorite activities.
“I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live up to what light I have.”
